Dr. Astrid Tripodi
Co-founder and Chairperson

Dr. Astrid Tripodi, a leading expert in veterinary science and antimicrobial resistance (AMR), brings decades of experience in global health management. She has worked across continents to develop sustainable and innovative approaches. Dr. Tripodi earned her veterinary degree in Germany, followed by a PhD equivalent with gold honors in France. She worked on disease control at the intersection between human and animal health across Asia and Africa, including a decade in Vietnam. It was during this time that she recognized the threat of antimicrobial resistance and the need for sustainable alternatives to traditional antibiotics, driving her to explore bioactive molecules derived from natural sources. Dr Tripodi brings a global perspective, scientific expertise, and a strong commitment to developing sustainable, natural alternatives for applications in both human and animal health.
Nguyệt Nguyễn Thị Kim
Director
Mrs Nguyen Thi Kim Nguyet is a highly respected expert in agronomy and rural development, with over 40 years of experience. She holds a BSc in Agronomy from Can Tho University and a Master degree in Agricultural Extension and Community Development from CNEARC (Centre national d’Etudes Agronomiques des Régions Chaudes) France. Her area of expertise includes sustainable agricultural practices, rural livelihoods, economic analysis of farming systems, farmer organizations, agriculture extension and climate-resilient agriculture. Ms. Nguyet has coordinated several international projects and served as an expert in planning, Monitoring & Evaluation, and capacity building. Mrs Nguyet’s expertise, extensive network and coordination skills play a pivotal role in ensuring that our snails are treated with the outmost care and that all SETs processes are geared to producing high quality snail secretion filtrate.
Dr. Flavio Corsin

Development Director
Dr. Flavio Corsin, a sustainability and strategic business expert, brings over 30 years of global experience in transforming agriculture systems and building impactful ventures. With a BSc in Natural Sciences, a MSc in Aquaculture, a PhD in Epidemiology (University of Liverpool, UK) and decades of international experience, including more than ten years working in Vietnam, he supports SETs in expanding its scientific, ethical, and sustainability footprint through strategic partnerships, innovation, and growth. His work bridges natural sciences, health management, human development, and responsible investment to unlock the full potential of snail mucin for cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications.
Silvia Torlasco
Co-founder and Sales and Marketing Director
Ms Silvia Torlasco has 25 years of international experience in marketing and communications, specializing in product launches for multinational companies. Skilled in market analysis and integrated strategy development, she effectively tailors campaigns for both B2B and B2C audiences. Her expertise spans strategic planning, sales funnel management, and ROI-driven KPIs. Known for translating market insights into creative and measurable campaigns, she combines branding, lead generation, and consultative selling to drive sustainable growth. For the past 12 years, she has also focused on the pharmaceutical and cosmetic applications of snail mucin, contributing to innovative product development in these sectors.
Dung Nguyễn Khánh
Extraction and Processing Unit Manager
Ms. Nguyen Khanh Dung holds a Bachelor's degree in Advanced Biotechnology from Can Tho University. She is a co-author of scientific publications on anticancer, antioxidant, and antifungal activities of bioproducts. Her research focuses on the evaluation of bioactive compounds and their derivatives from natural sources, contributing to the development of eco-friendly and sustainable therapeutic approaches. Ms. Dung's experience as a quality control technician in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical sectors plays a vital role in ensuring that SETs produces high quality snail secretion filtrate. Driven by a strong interest in her field, she is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Biotechnology to further enhance her knowledge and skills.

Product Assistant
Mr. Dang Phu Qui is an experienced agricultural technician specializing in snail farming and vegetable production. He possesses in-depth knowledge and practical skills in the ethical and efficient extraction of snail mucin, ensuring high-quality standards throughout the entire process. Mr. Qui follows best practices in snail rearing, closely aligned with their natural biological cycles. His work demonstrates a strong commitment to ethical production and quality assurance in animal-derived products.
